Symptom narrative

Patient developed LUE redness, swelling, warmth, and pain after receiving the injection, symptoms started within a few hours of vaccination. She endorsed general malaise, body aches, headache, fatigue, and nausea. Injection site reaction (redness, swelling, warmth) worsened over the course of 3 days. She presented to PCP office on 5/14 (injection received 5/11) and was assessed for cellulitis. PCP prescribed cephalexin (Keflex) 500 mg QID for 7 days. Advised elevating LUE and apply cold compress to site.
