patient was with her mom and i gave her an adacel shot. about 5 minutes after they walked away, i got called to the store because she had passed out and fallen down. by the time i got to the scene she was awake and alert, she was sitting down and drinking water. her mom informed me that she has a condition where she has a cortisone deficiency and that she has passed out in the past after getting blood draws. she also said this was her first adult vaccine. i checked her blood pressure and it was 124/80. the4 paramedics arrived and checked her out also. they asked mom if she wanted her transported to the hospital but mom asked if she could give her a cortisone tablet first before coming to a decision
