Symptom narrative

Patient experienced extreme arm soreness and difficulty moving her arm around and that continued after 48 hours of getting the vaccine, patient called to report 5 days after vaccine administration. Educated to take over the counter ibuprofen or acetaminophen to help manage the discomfort, to keep the arm moving to help increase blood flow to reduce soreness and also could apply a clean ice pack to the injection site for 15-20minutes at a time to help reduce swelling and or inflammation. Patient was advised if none of the recommendations help to seek medical attention right away (go to the ER).
