Cornea damage; Shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of injury corneal in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) solution for injection for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced injury corneal (Verbatim: Cornea damage) (serious criteria clinically significant/intervention required) and shingles (Verbatim: Shingles). The outcome of the injury corneal was not resolved and the outcome of the shingles was not reported. It was unknown if the reporter considered the injury corneal and shingles to be related to Shingles vaccine. The company considered the injury corneal to be unrelated to Shingles vaccine. The patient had permanent corneal damage, and that they would not take any more vaccines.
