The technician had some questions with his hand held store machine, but went back to the counter and confirmed that the vaccine was okay. There was pain at the vaccine site, but there was a burning effect in my veins also. A few days later, I had some stiffness. Then, just over a week later, I was hit very hard with congestion, a fever, a cough. My veins bulged and my heartbeat definitely increased. I remained very light-headed for several days until, the fever finally reduced to below 99. My usual temperature is 97 or so, thus 99, 100, and 101 are very high temperatures for me. I am careful about my health, watch what I eat and almost never get ill. I still have the cough which I will see my doctor about. I also have not given my doctor a complete description of the effects of the vaccine. I feel the problem was the delivery of the vaccine. I feel so strongly about this that I wonder if perhaps the Center for Disease Control and Prevention might consider prohibiting pharmacies - and grocery stores - and such facilities from administering vaccines at all ever.
