Possible septic arthritis; soreness that went into neck; This serious case was reported by a nurse via sales rep and described the occurrence of septic arthritis in a female patient who received DTPa (Reduced antigen) (Boostrix) solution for injection (batch number 72NF3) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received the 1st dose of Boostrix (unknown deltoid). On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Boostrix, the patient experienced septic arthritis (Verbatim: Possible septic arthritis) (serious criteria hospitalization and GSK medically significant) and neck pain (Verbatim: soreness that went into neck) (serious criteria hospitalization). The outcome of the septic arthritis was not resolved and the outcome of the neck pain was not reported. The reporter considered the septic arthritis to be related to Boostrix. It was unknown if the reporter considered the neck pain to be related to Boostrix. The company considered the septic arthritis and neck pain to be unrelated to Boostrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 20-MAY-2026 The patient was given Tdap vaccine in an unknown deltoid. Shortly after administration, the patient experienced soreness that went into the neck. The patient was hospitalized. In the hospital, the shoulder was cleaned out as septic arthritis was suspected. The cultures came back negative, so it was suspected that this issue could possibly have been due to the vaccine being given too high and it might not have been a septic joint.; Sender's Comments: A case of Arthritis bacterial and Neck pain, unknown time after receiving 1st dose of Boostrix in a female patient.
