within 20 days he had a severe case of shingles; This non-serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of shingles in a 93-year-old male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) solution for injection for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingrix. On an unknown date, less than 3 weeks after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shingles (Verbatim: within 20 days he had a severe case of shingles). The outcome of the shingles was resolved (duration 60 days). The reporter considered the shingles to be unrelated to Shingrix. The company considered the shingles to be unrelated to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 24-MAY-2026 This case was reported by a patient via interactive digital media. The reporter's father was 93 years old and had never had shingles. His doctor advised him to get the shingles vaccine, and he received it. About 20 days later, he developed a severe case of shingles. He was prescribed medication, and it took around 60 days for the shingles to resolve. The patient believed that, since he had never had shingles before age 93, he might have already been naturally immune. The batch number was not provided upon follow up with the reporter.
