Symptom narrative

Around 530 pm, parents noticed that she seemed fussier than usual. She was eating a snack. Mom went to give her a bottle and realized that her eyes were rolled back, lips were blue and she was very pale, veins were popping out of her forehead. She was limp though still had a little bit of tone - was holding her head up. Mom was tapping on her back because she thought was was choking initially. During this episode, she was intermittently crying and was partially responding to her name but then seemed like she kept falling asleep, closing her eyes. Episode lasted for about 5 minutes. Resolved when the police officer arrived and gave her BBO2. Her O2 saturation was not checked at the time. By the time the EMT's arrived, she was back to being pretty awake though was stll irritable afterwards. She was brought to ED where she was noted to have a fever.
