phn has persisted for 10 months its terrible; Suspected vaccination failure; Developed shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a 69-year-old male patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On 15-MAY-2025, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix. In AUG-2025, between 2 and 4 months after receiving Shingrix and between 5 and 7 months after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: Developed shingles). In SEP-2025, the patient experienced post herpetic neuralgia (Verbatim: phn has persisted for 10 months its terrible). The outcome of the vaccination failure and shingles were not reported and the outcome of the post herpetic neuralgia was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure, shingles and post herpetic neuralgia to be related to Shingrix. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date:25-MAY-2026 The five doctors had no clue how to treat post herpetic neuralgia. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
