Suspected vaccination failure; am suffering from shingles right now; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a 84-year-old patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) solution for injection for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included chickenpox (as a child). On an unknown date, the patient received Shingles vaccine. On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: am suffering from shingles right now). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the shingles was not resolved. The patient had also had shingles shots, but he/she was suffering from shingles right then. The patient stated that it hit on the leg from hip to knee, all the way around the inner leg and onto the bottom. The patient had never had such pain that would not stop. The patient could not sleep in my bed for 3 weeks as he/she could not stretch the leg out. The patient was doing a little better after 5 weeks and two blocking shots in back, but he/she still could not stand anything touching the leg. This case was considered as vaccination failure as details regarding primary vaccination schedule, confirmation of time to onset and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
