Episode of vomiting with headache and muscle soreness on day 2 post-vaccination about 7:30 P.M. The following morning, day 3 post-vaccination, patient had jaundiced appearance, fatigue, and malaise. Patient presented to ER (name withheld) and was diagnosed with hemolytic crisis and hyperbilirubinemia and received one unit of PRBCs. Patient was transferred to and admitted to a hospital. I believe he was discharged the following day, but Dr. would know for sure.
asymptomatic hereditary spherocytosis (D58.0)
1) asymptomatic hereditary spherocytosis & 2)reactive airway disease/asthma - well-controlled
1) Albuterol 90 mcg inhaler 4x/day PRN wheezing - Not used at time of vaccination & 2) Probiotic (unsure if patient taking at time of vaccination)
No known medical allergies
