Patient was seated for vaccine administration. He appeared anxious and reported being very nervous about receiving vaccinations. Patient received MenQuadfi in the left deltoid followed immediately by Bexsero in the right deltoid. Within seconds after administration of the second vaccine, while remaining seated, the patient suddenly began to slump/fall to one side. He was assisted and prevented from falling. The patient experienced a brief loss of consciousness associated with generalized body rigidity and brief seizure-like/convulsive movements lasting several seconds. No prolonged seizure activity was observed. Upon regaining consciousness, the patient was initially confused regarding the event but quickly became alert and oriented. He subsequently reported that he had been very frightened before the injections and that the second injection was particularly painful, after which "everything went black." Heart rate immediately following the event was 43 beats per minute. Pre-vaccination heart rate had been 55 beats per minute. The patient recovered without further symptoms and returned to baseline.
