Symptom narrative

caught a covid infection; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of COVID-19 (caught a covid infection) in a 91-year-old male patient who received mRNA-1273.251 (Spikevax LP.8.1 PFS) for COVID-19 prophylaxis. The suspect product included Pre-filled Syringe injection for COVID-19 prophylaxis. Previously administered products included for COVID-19 prophylaxis: SPIKEVAX NOS (taken Moderna vaccines regularly the past 6 years). Past adverse reactions to the above products included No adverse effect with SPIKEVAX NOS. On an unknown date, the patient received dose of mRNA-1273.251 (Spikevax LP.8.1 PFS) (Intramuscular use) 1 dosage form and Pre-filled Syringe (unknown route) at an unspecified dose. On 04-Apr-2026, the patient experienced COVID-19 (caught a covid infection). At the time of the report, COVID-19 (caught a covid infection) had resolved. DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS (normal ranges are provided in parenthesis if available): On 04-Apr-2026, SARS-CoV-2 test: Positive. On an unknown date, Body temperature: 102 F fever. Vaccines within the past 4 weeks, medical conditions were reported as none. Concomitant medication was not reported. It was reported as patient received vaccine 5 or 6 months ago. Patient caught a covid infection while visiting his cardiologist's office. Patient and his wife got Covid and tested positive. They had a lot of sinus drainage, 102F fever, they both had phlegm, coughing, sneezing and were bad for 6 weeks. It was stated that he and his wife had no symptoms remaining right now. Treatment medication was not reported.
