Symptom narrative

Patient received vaccine and left facility. Within approximately 10 minutes, first anaphylaxis occurred. Patient went to nearby EMS agency where Epi-Pen was administered. Patient monitored and released home with Epi-Pen. Approximately 40 minutes later a second anaphylaxis reaction began. Patient administered Epi-Pen to self, called for ambulance and began driving towards nearest ED. EMS met patient on the road to ED and took the remained of the way. ED began IV Epinephrine drip due to bi-phasic anaphylaxis. Patient held overnight for observation.
