Pain at the site of injection. The following day, swollen lymph nodes appeared in the right armpit (the same site of injection); the swollen area was quite painful and increased in size over a couple of days. The skin over the swollen lymph nodes turned discolored (purplish, similar to bruising) and extended further to the side of the breast (the swollen area did not turn red or warm). I have not had this kind of reaction with previous vaccinations. COVID-19 vaccination produced pain in the armpit and swollen lymph nodes, but the reaction was shorter; there was no skin discoloration, and the swollen area was smaller. I did not see a physician for the reaction; I decided to wait. On the 4th day, I improved. I will probably not have the second dose. On further investigation, I found the adjuvant in this vaccine is strong, I think too strong for many people. I understand that people with compromised immune systems or older adults may need stronger adjuvants, but this may not be the case for all individuals.
