Symptom narrative

Patient presented to ER for evaluation of reaction to shingles vaccine. Patient reported pain of the arm, numbness and tinkling of left pinky finger and numbness in left wrist. There was a large hematoma/red induration are of left arm above the elbow. It appears vaccine was not injected into deltoid muscle, but lower than that. Possible subcutaneous injection?

Current illness

chrone's disease, hypothyroidism, migraines, herpatic eye , osteoarthritis

Other medications

levothyroxine, mesalamine, valacyclovir

Allergies

amoxicillin, sulfa, doxycycline
