Symptom narrative

Patient received multiple 6-month vaccines in the morning around 1000 at PCP office (Dtap, Hep b, IHB, IPV, Pneumococcal PCV 20 , rotavirus). Had febrile seizure requiring two doses of IM versed with EMS, brought to the ED still seizing with rectal temp of 102F, seizure only resolved after IV dose of ativan and rectal tylenol. Was observed in ED with no further seizures; ED workup otherwise negative for cause of febrile seizure. Was admitted to overnight for complex febrile seizure due to vaccination reaction.

Lab data

ED workup showed normal CMP, CBC, CRP, negative respiratory viral PCR panel, CXR normal, UA without infection, UDS + benzos, which was given by EMS and in ED), VBG normal, lactate normal. Blood culture and procal collected and pending at time of report.
