Patient got her second dose of shingles vaccination on 6/10/26 (her first dose was 2022, she had never come for second dose until now). She got the vaccine in her right arm. She called this morning and said that her arm is feeling pain at the injection sight and it is red. She said it wasn't having any pain or redness until yesterday 6/12/26. And she worked all day yesterday using that arm a lot and isn't sure if that is making it worse. I explained to her that it is a normal delayed hypersensitivity reaction and recommended OTC treatment options for her. I did let her know that in some cases, the skin can be infected so if it continues to get worse or does not improve she will need it to be evaluated
