Shivering; wrong route of administration/ dose was given subcutaneous instead of intramuscular; This non-serious case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of shivering in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, the patient received Shingrix (subcutaneous). On an unknown date, an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced shivering (Verbatim: Shivering) and intramuscular formulation administered by other route (Verbatim: wrong route of administration/ dose was given subcutaneous instead of intramuscular). The outcome of the shivering was unknown and the outcome of the intramuscular formulation administered by other route was not applicable. It was unknown if the reporter considered the shivering to be related to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 12-JUN-2026 The reporter was the HCP (pharmacist) who stated that a patient of unknown demographics was given a dose of Shingrix. The reporter believed the dose was given subcutaneously instead of intramuscularly due to the amount of patient fat. The patient also experienced shivering after the dose. The batch number was not provided upon follow up with the reporter.
