Suspected vaccination failure; Shingles; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. The patient's past medical history included shingles. On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix. On an unknown date, 2 months after receiving Shingrix and an unknown time after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: Shingles). The outcome of the vaccination failure and shingles were not reported. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure and shingles to be related to Shingrix. The company considered the vaccination failure to be unrelated to Shingrix. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 02-JUN-2026 This case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media. The patient had both shots, and it's been almost 2 months done last one and he/she had an outbreak again. The patient was asking if this was normal. This case was considered as vaccination failure as details regarding primary vaccination schedule, confirmation of time to onset and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.; Sender's Comments: A case of Vaccination failure, 2 months after vaccination with 1st dose of Shingrix and on an unknown time after vaccnation with the 2nd dose of Shingrix, in a patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the event was caused by GSK vaccine product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow up has not been received.
