Symptom narrative

seizures 5 hours after the first shot of G9; feel bad; dizzy; headaches; fiver; This spontaneous report was received from a Pharmacist and refers to a 16-year-old female patient (herself). The patient's medical history was not reported. The patient's concurrent conditions were not reported. Concomitant therapies were not reported. On an unknown date, the patient was vaccinated with the 1st dose of Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant (GARDASIL 9), 1 dose total (dose, formulation, route and site of administration, lot # and expiration date were not reported) administered for prophylaxis. On an unknown date, 5 hours after receiving the suspect vaccine, the patient experienced seizures, and for a time after that, she was on treatment (unspecified). On that day, when she received the suspect vaccine and went home, she started to feel bad and dizzy, had fever, headaches, and her family took her to an emergency department (room), and it was determined that this was because of the suspect vaccine. She told Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant (GARDASIL 9) was the only thing she received. Her doctors determined she could not receive more doses because it started 5 hours after vaccination, and despite family history of seizure, she herself did not suffer from them. At the reporting time, the outcome of the events was not provided. The action taken with Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant (GARDASIL 9) was not reported, but assessed as not applicable. The reporter considered the events of fever, seizures, headaches, dizzy, and feel bad to be related to Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant (GARDASIL 9). Upon internal review, the event of seizures was determined to be medically significant. Lot # is being requested and will be submitted if received.
