Pt came into public health office today, 06/19, to report fatigue since evening of vaccination on 06/17, feeling as if he were running a low grade fever that continued through 06/18. Pt reports sleeping from 11:00 AM on 06/18-until this morning of the 19th before he came to the public health office at 08:45. Pt also reported chest tightness and clamminess with continued fatigue.

Public Health nurse, BC, RN, educated on common symptoms and side affects of vaccinations and determined that seeking emergent care is prudent as a result of unexplained chest tightness. Pt was not having SOB or extreme pain and did not have altered mentality. Pt was encouraged to at the very least go to hospital walk in clinic and encouraged to go to ER with chest pain. This nurse called pt to encouraged him to go straight to ER as the clinic would be sending him there as well once they hear chest tightness to ensure there is no delay in care. Pt verbalized that he was headed to the emergency department as we spoke. Pt had no difficulty talking, walking, or breathing and needed to seek higher level of care as to not delay possible needed treatment.
