Patient had vaccines ordered as part of her in-office medical visit. Immediately after receiving these vaccines, patient reported to administering medical assistant that she felt dizzy and hot. Per medical assistant, patient momentarily became unresponsive, possible loss of consciousness, but no fall. Nurse practitioner responded to situation and patient was alert and oriented to person/place/time, though pale-appearing with low blood pressure 64/42 and heart rate 47. She was given oral fluids then placed in supine position for observation. She reported feeling better between within 5 minutes, and within 15 minutes she reported feeling well enough to leave the clinic. BP had improved to 83/58, heart rate had improved to 72. She had a steady gait and was discharged in stable condition, and was advised to report any further symptoms.
