Upon receipt of follow-up information on 19Jun2026, this case now contains all required information to be considered valid. This is a spontaneous report received from a Consumer or other non HCP. An 81-year-old male patient received BNT162b2 (BNT162B2), in Jan2021 as dose 1, single (Lot number: el3249) and in Jan2021 as dose 2, single (Lot number: em9809), all subcutaneous for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "cidp" (ongoing), notes: loss of muscle in left leg. The patient's concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: INCORRECT ROUTE OF PRODUCT ADMINISTRATION (non-serious) with onset Jan2021, outcome "unknown", described as "Route of administration: Subcutaneous"; FALL (medically significant) with onset Feb2021, outcome "not recovered", described as "Fell down. CIDP"; CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY DEMYELINATING POLYRADICULONEUROPATHY (medically significant), CONDITION AGGRAVATED (medically significant) all with onset Feb2021, outcome "not recovered" and all described as "Fell down. CIDP/It ruined his life for 5.5 years now/still a mess"; MOBILITY DECREASED (hospitalization, life threatening), outcome "recovered", described as "after his shot he couldn't even move". Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of mobility decreased, fall, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, condition aggravated. Clinical course: It was reported that the patient after receiving Pfizer covid vaccine shot he couldn't even move he went to the hospital, was put on IVIG, about 2-3 weeks later he was on ventilator and 2 weeks after that he was healed. In Feb2021, the patient fell down. CIDP. It ruined his life for 5.5 years now. Outcome: still a mess. Treatment included Vyvgart, IVIG, and rituximab.
