Symptom narrative

as soon as she received the injection, she felt pain and the pain went all the way down to her arm and fingers; the injection was administered very high close to her shoulder, close to her bone; she is having a hard time moving her arm and its been over a month; This Spontaneous report was received a healthcare professional and refers to a 67-years-old female patient. The patient's medical history, past medications and concomitant medications were not reported. On 29-May-2026, the patient was vaccinated with pneumococcal 21-valent conjugate vaccine solution for injection (CAPEXIVE) on Right Arm for the treatment of adult pneumococcal (strength, specific dosage, dose number, route of administration, lot number and expiration date were not provided), but the injection was administered very high close to her shoulder, close to her bone (Product administered at inappropriate site). On 29-May-2026 (reported as: as soon as she received the injection), she felt pain and the pain went all the way down to her arm and fingers (Vaccination site pain). At time of reporting (since an unknown date in 2026), she was having a hard time moving her arm (Vaccination site movement impairment) and its been over a month. Patient got Xray and now she was scheduled to get an MRI. At the time of reporting, the patient had not recovered from Vaccination site pain and Vaccination site movement impairment. The causal relation between the events and suspect vaccine were not provided.
