Symptom narrative

nearly passed out, couldn't function at all, had to get seated; Had a very angry red splotch at the injection site; wasn't fit to drive; tired; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of passed out in a female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) solution for injection for prophylaxis. Previously administered products included Shingles vaccine with an associated reaction of no adverse event (no problem with 1st injection). On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine. In JUN-2026, an unknown time after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced tiredness (Verbatim: tired). On an unknown date, the patient experienced passed out (Verbatim: nearly passed out, couldn't function at all, had to get seated) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), injection site erythema (Verbatim: Had a very angry red splotch at the injection site) and driving ability disturbed (Verbatim: wasn't fit to drive). The outcome of the passed out, injection site erythema and driving ability disturbed were not reported and the outcome of the tiredness was not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the passed out, injection site erythema, driving ability disturbed and tiredness to be related to Shingles vaccine. The company considered the passed out to be unrelated to Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK receipt date: 05-JUL-2026 This case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media. The patient just got the vaccine and nearly passed out following the second injection. The patient couldn't function at all, had to get seated. The patient went down on the floor and waited for husband to get her because patient wasn't fit to drive. The patient had a very angry red splotch at the injection site. The patient had been very tired for two weeks now. The batch number was not provided, and we are unable to contact the reporter.; Sender's Comments: A case of Loss of consciousness, on an unknown time after vaccination with 2nd dose of Shingles vaccine, in a female patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the event was caused by GSK vaccine product cannot be ascertained. Consent for further follow up has not been received.
