i have poly myalgia rheumatica; i got shingles; Suspected vaccination failure; This serious case was reported by a consumer via interactive digital media and described the occurrence of vaccination failure in a female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) for prophylaxis. Concurrent medical conditions included immunocompromised (patient is immunocompromised). On an unknown date, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix. In APR-2026, less than 2 years after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced vaccination failure (Verbatim: Suspected vaccination failure) (serious criteria GSK medically significant) and shingles (Verbatim: i got shingles). On an unknown date, the patient experienced polymyalgia rheumatica (Verbatim: i have poly myalgia rheumatica) (serious criteria GSK medically significant). The outcome of the vaccination failure was not reported and the outcome of the polymyalgia rheumatica and shingles were not resolved. It was unknown if the reporter considered the vaccination failure, polymyalgia rheumatica and shingles to be related to Shingrix. The company considered the vaccination failure and polymyalgia rheumatica to be unrelated to Shingrix. This case was considered as suspected vaccination failure as details regarding time to onset for shingles and laboratory confirmation regarding shingles were unknown at the time of reporting.
