Symptom narrative

2 month old baby with no significant PMH received her 2 month old vaccines on 07/07 in the am. That same day afternoon starting 5pm she developed leftward eye gaze, repetitive left upper extremity shaking, was sticking her tongue out and had increased tone which lasted 1+ hours. She was taken to Hospital ED and seizure was aborted with intranasal and IV midazolam and a loading dose of keppra. She was admitted. EEG did not show electrographic seizures. CSF studies returned without source of infection. New onset seizure labs were sent- including urine organic acids, carnitine levels, plasma acylcarnitine and plasma amino acids. Overall workup came back with reassuring results. Patient was discharged home without any seizure meds. Patient to follow up with neurology outpatient.
