Symptom narrative

exocrine pancreatic insufficiency; Bloating; Headache; joint pain/right knee pain and left hip pain; Fatigue/Severe exhaustion; Dry mouth; Dry eye; occasional dizziness; Muscular pain; Overall weakness/no energy; ringing in ears especially the left side; patient could not sleep good at night but sleep all throughout the day. Also, patient was extremely thirsty all the time; loss of appetite; changes in vision; changes in taste buds; This serious case was reported by a consumer and described the occurrence of pancreatic exocrine insufficiency in a 61-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingles vaccine) solution for injection (batch number nt357) for prophylaxis. On 01-JUL-2026, the patient received Shingles vaccine .5 ml. On 02-JUL-2026, 1 days after receiving Shingles vaccine, the patient experienced pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (Verbatim: exocrine pancreatic insufficiency) (serious criteria GSK medically significant), bloating (Verbatim: Bloating), headache (Verbatim: Headache), joint pain (Verbatim: joint pain/right knee pain and left hip pain), fatigue (Verbatim: Fatigue/Severe exhaustion), dry mouth (Verbatim: Dry mouth), eye dryness (Verbatim: Dry eye), dizziness (Verbatim: occasional dizziness), muscle pain (Verbatim: Muscular pain) and weakness (Verbatim: Overall weakness/no energy). In JUL-2026, the patient experienced tinnitus (Verbatim: ringing in ears especially the left side), daytime sleepiness (Verbatim: patient could not sleep good at night but sleep all throughout the day. Also, patient was extremely thirsty all the time), appetite lost (Verbatim: loss of appetite), visual disturbance (Verbatim: changes in vision) and taste altered (Verbatim: changes in taste buds). The patient was treated with pancreatin (Creon) and butalbital;caffeine;paracetamol (Fioricet). The outcome of the pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, bloating, headache, joint pain, fatigue, dry mouth, eye dryness, dizziness, muscle pain and weakness were not resolved and the outcome of the tinnitus, daytime sleepiness, appetite lost, visual disturbance and taste altered were not reported. It was unknown if the reporter considered the pancreatic exocrine insufficiency, bloating, headache, joint pain, fatigue, dry mouth, eye dryness, dizziness, muscle pain, weakness, tinnitus, daytime sleepiness, appetite lost, visual disturbance and taste altered to be related to Shingles vaccine. The company considered the pancreatic exocrine insufficiency to be unrelated to Shingles vaccine. Additional Information: GSK Receipt Date: 12-JUL-2026 The patient took first dose last week and had some disturbing symptoms severe exhaustion, always wanting to sleep, no energy at all, loss of appetite, changes in vision and taste buds, ringing in ears especially the left side, joint pain see ortho Friday about bad right knee pain and left hip pain. Had bloating, flatulence(severe), headache; muscular and joint pain, severe fatigue and overall weakness; moderate thirsty and dry mouth and eyes, occasional dizziness. The patient could not sleep good at night but sleep all throughout the day. The heat from outside was overwhelming, checked temperature know it can cause fever. The patient had it done at pharmacy cause and about to find out which brand got. It can cause fever. The reporter had it done at pharmacy cause and about to find out which brand got because have mRNA in all their vaccines. Also was not constipated and now with a lot of flatulence, foul smelling (look at stool results). Also, patient was extremely thirsty all the time. The patient had 2 stool tests which said patient have exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. The elastene less than 40. The patient asked if there was other tests patient can do to verify patient had this epi and what was the root cause of it. The patient was seeing gastrointestinal specialist tomorrow and developed epi started on Creon.; Sender's Comments: A case of Pancreatic failure, 1 days after vaccination with Shingles vaccine, in a 61-year-old female patient. Based on the available information a possible causality that the event was caused by the GSK product cannot be ascertained. Further follow up information has been sought.
