Symptom narrative

Received phytonadione (vitamin K1) injection 1 mg and eposodes began less than 24 hrs after birth. 13 hours old with 2 episodes of gagging with hypoxia at that time, cyanotic episodes. NICU transport. Episodes of lower extremities turning blue with hypoxemia intermittently, sats falling into 80s. Passed OG tube into stomach without issue (aspirated some clear fluid and breast milk). Passed tube through both nares and they are patent. Blood work has mild hypoglycemia and have started IV D10W. In last couple of hours more episodes of lower extremities turning blue purple (sat to 77% and then comes back to upper 90s). BP extremities similar in all extremities. Blood culture obtained and IV Amp and Gent initiated after discussion with transfer consult provider. erythromycin (ROMYCIN) ophthalmic ointment hepatitis B vaccine 10 mcg/0.5 mL (ENGERIX) injection 10 mcg IV: D10 (10% dextrose) phytonadione (vitamin K1) injection 1 mg sodium chloride 0.9% flush (NS) injection 10 mL
