Pneumonia and sepsis after influenza vaccination; Pneumonia and sepsis after influenza vaccination; Initial information received on 13-Jul-2026 regarding a solicited valid serious case received from a non-healthcare professional (consumer), in the scope of sponsored market research study. Study Title: This case involves an elderly female patient who had pneumonia and sepsis after influenza vaccination. The patient's past medical history included heart disease and kidney disease. The patient's past drug history, vaccination(s), and family history were not provided. At the time of the event, the patient had ongoing condition(s) of arthritis, asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, seasonal allergies, and obesity. On an unknown date, the patient received influenza vaccine (brand unknown) solution for injection 1 DF (dosage form) TOTAL via intramuscular route, for immunisation against influenza (influenza immunization). Strength, start date, and batch/lot number were asked but unknown. Information on batch number and expiry date corresponding to the one at time of event occurrence could not be requested The patient experienced pneumonia and sepsis after influenza vaccination (Pneumonia) (Sepsis), (onset date, latency, batch and expiry date: unknown). The patient was hospitalized for a duration of 1 week due to these events.
