Patient received a 2nd dose of Boostrix sooner than recommended. Error was made due to 1st dose not being entered into state registry. Patient did not report any signs or symptoms.
No reaction at time of appointment. Spoke with provider and per provider there should be little to no reaction to the vaccine. Per provider in case of reaction such as diarrhea or vomiting to go to ER. Mother of child understood.
That evening patient with chills and "blacked out", awoke to urine in bed and drooling, feeling out of it. Went to ER next day and they thought it could be a seizure or illness exacerbated by vaccines.
